I'm not suggesting, by this title, that the nuclear plant at Sizewell is

responsible for the colourful decay on the side of this shed, only that the two

occupy a close proximity on this part of the Suffolk coast. If there's one

thing that often spoils the Suffolk landscape, that Gainsborough, Constable

and others would be up in arns about were they here, its the power pylons

that are strung out all across the county, emanating from here, Sizewell.

For everyone who complains about them (and they're necessary - how else

is your telly going to work?), there is someone who also complains about the

increasing numbers of wind farms dotted around the coast and inland. They

don't grind corn these days, but provide the power that will one day make

nuclear plants redundant and stop us worrying about fallout from a

Chernobyl-style accident.

I'm not suggesting, by this title, that the
