They are used by such companies to provide aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that the site owner can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. During the course of your browsing on this site, you will not be bombarded with what others bought ‘instead of x’, or what products you may ‘also like’. Your shopping on Picturesonline is specific to you, and as personal as browsing around any high street shop. We may in the future contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. However, these service providers will not be permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.
If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings. If you wish to configure or check your cookie settings in Internet Explorer, go to Tools/Internet Settings (on the top menu in IE), navigate to the privacy tab and click the Advanced button. Here you will be able to select the options for accepting first-party cookies (from the site you are browsing) or third-party cookies (everyone else). These can be set to overide the built-in cookie settings in Internet Explorer. Other browsers will have similar options within their settings. However, if you turn your cookies off completely, some of the services available to you on the site/s you are browsing may not function properly or at all.
