An Indian blue peafowl (a male 'peacock' in this case) wandering around a hotel grounds in

East Sussex. Percy, I think, was used to posing for photographers judging by his

unusually friendly manner. They're not native to the UK, although they are of course

everywhere kept as pets on large estates and elsewhere, but originally came from India or

Java/Sumatra, depending on the species. Blues are, I believe, from India, greens from

the East Indies.
