Pin Mill longshot
Another view of Pin Mill, with Thames barge 'Melissa' and a workboat, 'Manon', tied up for the night. There is an annual Thames Barge 'race' down the Orwell from here. Well, it's not really a race, more of a gathering, a 'flotation' of barges, that starts and ends with a few pints in the Butt and Oyster.
It was at Pin Mill that Arthur Ransome wrote his enduring children's favourite, 'We never meant to go to Sea'. I never meant to have so many pictures on this website, but what the hell.
Off-white mount and smart plain dark-wood frame
