framing suggestion:
Seen in an old barn at Walsham-le-Willows, Suffolk: a pair of (restorable) armchairs, left to their
fate and the comfort of cats. Suffolk is stuffed with old barns, old churches (some with fine
hammerbeam roofs, as in Blythburgh and Grundisburgh), old ghosts, old speech patterns, old
everything. The time-honoured rural nature of Suffolk has survived because of its relative
remoteness from the rest of the country (no motorways) and its relative protection - as a
breadbasket - from the enduring consequences of the Thatcher years. Long may it continue.
I've yet to find a downside to living in Suffolk after 40-odd years of living in London. I don't
consider being a long way from an Ikea a bad thing, but apparently they do make some nice
chairs.
This is a two-shot panorama, as I wanted the door in the shot but couldn't get back far
enough with the lens I had on. The pair were joined in Photoshop's Photomerge function and
I've used a lot of very local contrast and brightness control.
