Under the bridge to a small research ship's
pontoon near the Menai Bridge in North
Wales. It was only after I'd had this picture
for about a year that I noticed there were no
oars in this rowing boat, which probably
explains why it was still there. Shows you
how observant I am. Without the water being
so calm (behind a breakwater, stage left) I
don't think the picture would be so relaxing;
and I like the contrast of textures between the
smooth water, the oil-stained pontoon and
the tired look of the boat itself.
