Lucky enough, along with probably dozens of other photographers, to

capture this spectacular sunset over Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland,

during my first visit to the county. This immense beach would be

crowded during the day if it were anywhere in southern England, but up

here it was practically deserted. The castle itself is fascinating too, with an

interesting museum of technical innovation, and, unlike so many places in

the land of dog lovers, Buster was allowed in too. We'll be back.
